Hand sanitizers -Health Canada warning

Message from our supplier of hand sanitizers

Canadian Government Regulations pertaining to Sanitizers .

In an ongoing effort to protect our distributors and remain ahead of our competitors, we wish to keep you advised on the established Health Canada facts.

The following regulations when selling Hand Sanitizers should be followed:

To Sell, Hand Sanitizers in Canada by Law the product must carry and have printed on the Front & Back an Active Health Canada Registered, Approved and Certified DIN # (Drug Identification Number) or NPN #. Very few AMERICAN OR CANADIAN Manufacturers have Registered Health Canada DIN or NPN #s FDA products from the USA do NOT automatically qualify as DIN # Products.

Even if the American company has a DIN # for their product the Canadian company importing the product must meet all the Health Canada Regulations.Health Canada can and will cause Distributors, at their expense, to recall any and all health related products Imported or Sold by you or your End-User that have not met all of the above requirements.

If an End-User should report to Health Canada that the product you sold them does not carry a registered Heath Canada DIN or NPN # they will cause the Distributor to do a total recall of the Product at the Distributor's expense.

Canada Customs is fully aware of the Health Canada Regulations and they can and will prohibit the entry of these products into Canada and bill you for the costs and fees related to this procedure. Your shipment may get past Customs Canada but when Health Canada gets wind of it you can be subject to various fines, penalties and a recall at your expense.

BE AWARE: We kindly urge all our distributors to follow the above regulations, as we would not want this to happen to any of our Distributors, as it has already happened to some ''unnamed'' Distributor and Health Canada informed us that they had been fined by the Canadian Health agency earlier last year.

Cost to them, $10,800.00 plus the cost to re-call the product from their customer and the people their customer gave the products to, plus the cost to destroy the product and now they are on Canada Customs watch list. We hope this information is of help to you!

From promo to the masses

We have discussed a few months ago a product that was a favorite of Cynthia's after her inspiring week in Las Vegas for the PPAI Convention.
It is a pocket tootbrush that ressembles the ones we can usually get on a plane or offered by a dentist but that has the added advantage of having toothpaste integrated in the brush. Yes, the toothpaste comes directly out of the brush by pressing the handle. It seems like nothing, but it really is super convenient. So convenient that there is a internationally known brand that has created a product that does the same thing (help people have a clean mouth and fresh breath throughout the day) with the addition of not needing any water.

When I saw the advertisment for this product on TV, I immediately thought of The Emergency Brush we mentionned here in the blog. The Colgate version is called the Wisp and you can check it out here www.colgatewisp.com.

The Wisp might be customizable...we're investigating it! Stay tuned and let us know if you did use it. I will try it and give you a review soon.

After the apples come the nuts

We talked about the engraved apple here and we now found a supplier that allows you to imprint nuts. It is pretty cute and serves the purpose of being original and showing you care about a customer, business partner or coworker's health while also showing you care about your brand as well which is usually also the point, isn't it?

In this case, as you'll see in the picture you can either imprint each individual nut, imprint a can or a bag or imprint the nutcracker. It is creative and included in the right marketing campaign can most definitely be a hit. We always try to stress with our client the importance of being creative, especially in times like this when we deal with a struggling economy.

Move and get rewarded

Another Las Vegas discovery and by far the most innovative.
What you see in the picture here is not a funky little watch. It is a kinetic band that makes a great promotional product for promoting wellness, fitness and exercise in a time where it is a top priority in people's lives.

What is it?

The kinetic band records any physical activity that causes you to produce heat. After 60 minutes of kinetic activity are completed and registered by the band the screen displays a code that once entered on the website allows each user to redeem a prize. It promotes healthy living and is most definitely fun while being absolutely innovative, which is probably the reason we love it most.

To order this product you have to think big: the minimum order is of 25,000 pieces. It is a great investment and is sure to have a very high return.
